Red is the color of blood. We bring before God all those whose blood is shed because of violence caused by hatred, greed, ideology, rivalry and so forth. We ask God to comfort the victims of violence and to fill the hearts and minds of those who cause violence with thoughts of peace and reconciliation. Orange is the color of the rising and setting sun. We think of our families and friends in our home countries, of our churches and their leaders, and of the whole family of mankind: May God lead and guide His people by His grace.Yellow is for warmth and compassion, for fellowship and shared joy:
May God grant us all that during our time together. Light green is for all those who care for young life:
For young seeds, for young children, may God gives them patience and compassion and the wisdom to do what is necessary. Dark green is for our creation.
We ask God to make us more aware day by day so that we treat His creation as good stewards. Blue shall stand for the open sky.
It is wide enough to carry our individual silent prayers. Rev. Uland Spahlinger |
